JOE STAGE "JAY"
Joe's work is showcased on many LP album projects including, LaFace/Arista artists' Usher, and Donell Jones, and Bad Boy recording artist Total, featuring the Notorious B.I.G., recording artist 112 and Faith Evans, StepSun/Tommy Boy, artist Miss Jones and many others. He has also received ASCAP’s prestigious Rhythm and Soul Award for his chart topping work. Joe has been working in the music industry for over 12 years. In high school and college, he actively promoted and produced local concerts as fundraisers and performed with local groups and bands. He got his start by working as a recording engineer in studios such as NYC's CHUNG KING Studios, Playground studios under Untouchables/Laface Entertainment, The Hit Factory, Sound on Sound, and Platinum Island. While doing engineering and production work, he secured a publishing deal with Polygram/Universal Music Publishing. As a songwriter and engineer, he has worked with a number of other established producers. He has worked on many well established Artist projects such as D'Angelo, 112, Notorious BIG, Heavy D, Craig Mack, Usher, Chico Debarge, Mary J. Blige, and others. In 1997
he worked for Whitney Houston's record label Better Place/Elecktra Records,
in production, songwriting and music publishing. In 1999 he started
Stage Ten Entertainment, a New York based music production and event Production
Company. Stage Ten has worked with artists such as Shanna,
Youngbloodz,
(Radio Station) V103, By Dezign
and more.
